TCX Motorcycle Boots UK
The most complete range of motorcycle boots available in the UK market
TCX motorcycle boots were born in Italy in 1999, and were the first motorcycle footwear company to be granted an international patent for their TCS system, which was a feature designed to prevent ankle injury by controlling excessive lateral and longitudinal movement. TCX’s early focus on safety resulted in the brand being first in their sector to achieve CE certification across the entire range.
Although TCX aren’t quite the first brand that springs immediately to mind as being synonymous with motorcycle boots (that honour being reserved for industry stalwarts Sidi and Alpinestars), TCX are certainly now one of the major players in their field.
Interestingly, TCX had been growing rapidly - and disrupting the market - as a brand called Oxtar, from 1999 until 2007, when rival motorcycle boot brand Alpinestars threatened a lawsuit.
Alpinestars claimed the Oxtar brand name and logo was too similar to the abbreviated (but often used) form of their name and logo – “A’stars”. This might have seemed something of a tenuous link, however Oxtar decided against taking on the legal might of a major brand, and rebranded as TCX instead.
